Real Time Clock
EM's
family of low power CMOS Real Time Clocks (RTC) have been designed to
provide an accurate reference of time in electronic products.
Ultra low current consumption in the 1mA-range
allows these circuits to be powered by a small lithium cell for more than 10
years, longer than the useful life of most equipment. This is ideal to be
used in handheld and portable end-products.
The wide operating temperature range of these ICs make them also ideal
for use in automotive and industrial applications.
Finally, these RTCs can be used with a great flexibility since they come
with different features: built-in or external quartz oscillator, user RAM,
integrated battery switchover, 1-bit or bytewide interface and programmable
interrupts.
